ParrotKey is an AI-powered voice assistant for macOS and Windows that lets you write text by speaking — up to 3x faster than typing. It works system-wide across all applications, so you never need to install plugins or switch between tools.

The core workflow is simple: press a hotkey, speak naturally, and your voice becomes polished text at your cursor position. Whether you are writing an email, a Slack message, a document in Word, or filling in a form in your browser, ParrotKey works wherever you type.

Three modes for every writing task

ParrotKey offers three distinct modes, each designed for a different part of the writing process.

Transcribe mode

This is your main dictation mode. Press and hold the hotkey, speak naturally, and release. Your spoken words appear as clean, well-formatted text at your cursor position. Transcribe mode works in any application — email clients, messaging apps, word processors, browsers, and more. There is nothing to configure and no plugins to install.

Edit mode

Select existing text in any application, then press the Edit hotkey and give a voice instruction. For example, you might say "make it more professional," "translate to German," or "make it shorter." ParrotKey uses AI to transform the selected text according to your instruction and replaces it in place.

Correct mode

Select any text and press the Correct hotkey. ParrotKey automatically fixes grammar, spelling, and punctuation errors without changing the meaning or tone of your writing. It is the fastest way to polish text before sending.

Works everywhere, no plugins needed

ParrotKey operates at the system level. It works in every application where you can type text: Gmail, Outlook, Slack, Microsoft Teams, Word, Google Docs, Notion, your browser, and any other app. There are no browser extensions to install, no integrations to configure, and no compatibility issues to worry about.

Supports 50+ most common languages

ParrotKey supports transcription and translation in over 110 languages. You can speak in one language and have the text appear in another, or dictate in your native language and get perfectly transcribed text. This makes it an ideal tool for multilingual professionals and international teams.

Privacy-focused

Your audio is processed for transcription and then discarded. ParrotKey does not store your voice recordings. Your data is treated with care, and you remain in control of your information at all times.
